Hornblower will soon have a new neighbor at the Grape Street Pier/ Pier 1. Two local marine scientists are starting up a seaweed farm at the end of the pier. The underwater farm was just approved by the Port of San Diego and will be used to test the growth of several commercially-valuable seaweed species for culinary use as well as for animal feed, fertilizer and bio-fuel. As a company that is committed to conservation, Hornblower is looking forward to meeting our new neighbors and learning more about this sustainable new source of culinary seaweed!
