We just wrapped up another successful Whale Watching Season with hundreds of whales and thousands of dolphins spotted. Join us on June 29, when our Summer Whale Watching Season begins
Our Harbor Tours became Whale Watching Tours on November 19 and 20. On Sunday, Guests on one of our Harbor Tours were treated to fantastic views of a juvenile Gray Whale — the first of the season for us — entering San Diego Bay! A couple hours later a group of 4 Bottlenose Dolphins crossed the bow of the boat in the same location. On Monday, we spotted the same whale under the Coronado Bay Bridge. The whale spouted and then breached then spy-hopped to have a look around. It breached a couple more times giving us a great look at the youngster’s darker gray coloration and then headed farther into the bay. The San Diego Harbor Police are remaining with the whale to prevent boats from getting to close to the whale while it is in the bay. What a great preview for the upcoming Whale Watching season, which begins December 9!
The first southbound Gray Whales have been spotted off the coast of Monterey Bay, California!
